Rev. Kevin McNeil has a distinguished background in ministry, education, and community engagement. He served as the Senior Pastor of Bethany Christian Church D.O.C. in Roanoke, VA, from 2018 until his recent appointment as Interim Regional Minister and President at the Christian Church in Tennessee D.O.C. In addition to his pastoral duties, Rev. McNeil is a General Board Member of the Christian Church Disciples of Christ in the United States and Canada. He is also a certified Anti-Racism Pro-Reconciliation trainer and a member of the Commission on Standing for the Region of Virginia of the Christian Church (D.O.C.). Prior to his current roles, Rev. McNeil’s diverse experience includes serving as a Campus Pastor at the University of Lynchburg and teaching in Roanoke City Schools for seven years. He also dedicated over a decade to adult alternative education, displaying his commitment to lifelong learning and community empowerment. Deeply engaged in various community initiatives, Rev. McNeil is a vocal advocate for education, social justice, and informed civic engagement. He is actively involved in conducting leadership and boundaries training for organizations and has contributed to the Virginia Diverse Chamber of Commerce events, where he has led Community Prayers at Summits, participated in ribbon-cutting ceremonies, moderated chamber community engagement events, and supported community revitalization efforts. Rev. McNeil’s academic achievements include a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Miami (FL), as well as an M.A. in Counseling and an M.Div. from Liberty University. Rev. Kevin McNeil’s multi-faceted background reflects his dedication to serving others, promoting social equality, and fostering informed, empowered communities.
