Misty Vickers

Misty Vickers is a community advocate, activist, and business owner from Roanoke, Virginia. As a proud mother, Misty has always had a passion for creating positive change in her community. She is the owner of Beautiful Brooms, a company that promotes emotional well-being and creates memories for a variety of customers. Misty’s custom brooms are perfect for weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, engagements, bereavement ceremonies, and pet loss.

 

With over a decade of experience as a social worker, Misty has a deep understanding of the challenges facing her community. She holds an undergraduate degree from Radford University and has dedicated her career to advocating for women’s rights and equity and inclusion issues. Misty believes in creating a community where everyone has a voice and every person can thrive.

 

Misty’s commitment to her community led her to run for House District 40. As a candidate, Misty is passionate about investing in education, promoting economic development, and advocating for affordable healthcare and mental health services. She believes in supporting policies that promote equity and inclusion for all people, regardless of race, gender, or sexual orientation.
